Abstract

Nuhune is a tradition of exile to mothers who will give birth for forty days in the Nuaulu Tribe, Central Mollucas Regency. Mothers who are pregnant and giving birth in Nuaulu experience anxiety and fear while in exile. This article aims to look at resilience in a positive response to the anxieties and fears experienced by outcast women. The method used in this research is literature and data obtained from related books, articles, and journals. Hardiness by Kobasa and Resilience by Kalil is used to highlight the psychological condition of women in the Nuaulu tribe who experience fear because of isolation, especially in responding to their anxiety. Literature studies show that hardiness in women is a psychological reason to reduce the level of anxiety of women in the home of exile. The result of literature study is resilience of women of Nuaulu affected by religiosity, social support, and psychological well being. It’s got women as they carry on the Nuhune traditions. The role of husband, families and even society are strongly influencing the formation of mother resilinces. This literature study is suggested to be studied empirically for the purpose of constructing a resilience model that is suitable for the research subject
